Postal Service Interruption

With the postal strike underway, here are a few pieces of information to our kind donors who use cheques to give to Rising Above’s ministry at the end of the year:

• You can give by credit card on our website (https://www.risingabove.ca/home/donate/). If you run into any issues, or if you don’t have internet access, you can call us at 1-204-388-5408 and speak to Nicole, our Finance and Admin Officer, who works Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note the office will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s.
• INTERAC e-Transfers can be sent to info@risingabove.ca. If you would like a charitable donation receipt, please put your mailing address in the memo or email it to us.If you would like to designate your donation to a project, please write the project name in the memo of the e-Transfer.
• If you live in the USA, cheques can be payable to M. Stearns Missionary Fund and sent to:

Note: To comply with the IRS, your donation should be accompanied by a separate note: “I recommend that the proceeds be granted by the Fund to #346 Rising Above Healing Ministries” and state the project fund.

• If the postal strike is over and you send a cheque, it will need to be postmarked on or before December 31, 2024 in order to be included in the 2024 donation tax receipt. Please note that cheques need to be made out to our full name: Rising Above Healing Ministries.
