Rising Above relies on God and His people to provide financial resources to cover salary and operating expenses. Please consider participating in this ministry by giving.
Our Charity Registration number is 889485835 RR 0001. Donations totaling $20 or more annually will be receipted with a year-end tax receipt for total giving in that year unless otherwise requested.

e-Transfer

If you would like a charitable donation receipt, please put your mailing address in the memo or email it to us.
If you would like to designate your donation to a project (see descriptions below), please write the project name in the memo of the e-Transfer. Please do not write a personal name in the memo.

Project Descriptions
RA – General Fund
Funds directed to this purpose will be used for general operating expenses.
Rock Nest Ranch Conference
Upcoming Rising Above Conference at Rock Nest Ranch, BC in August/September of 2024.
Rising Above Band
Funds directed to this purpose will be used for the ministry expenses associated with the Rising Above Band. Please note that donations designated to individual band members cannot be received and forwarded to them.
Project Shepherd’s Heart
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to the ministry of Cory Illingworth in serving Indigenous people in Regina, SK through mentoring and counselling and in serving Rising Above staff through member care. These funds support 100% of his salary and ministry expenses.
Project Parry Sound Ministries
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to serving Indigenous communities in the Parry Sound & Muskoka, ON area through Grief Recovery, faith circles, support groups and leadership development under the direction of Johan Strydom. These funds support his personal ministry expenses and 100% of his salary.
Project Niverville Operations
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to the ministry of Terry & Brenda Martin in their service of music ministry with the Rising Above Band, relational ministry and administrative support. These funds support 100% of their salary and personal ministry expenses.
Project Smithers Ministry
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to serving Indigenous communities in the region of Smithers, BC through mentoring and counselling men and organizing healing workshops under the direction of Indigenous staff member Daren George. These funds support his personal ministry expenses.
Project Regina Discipleship
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to serving Indigenous people in Regina, SK through mentoring and counselling under the direction of Indigenous staff member Nick Helliwell. These funds support 100% of his salary and ministry expenses.
Project Ottawa Executive Leadership
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to the ministry of Executive Director, Ben Lim in his service of promoting Rising Above, fundraising, program development, staff leadership, and governance support. These funds are directed to support his salary.
Project Crystal City Office
Funds designated to this purpose are directed to the ministry of the Financial and Administrative Officer, Nicole Banman in her service of managing finances, communication and administrative duties. These funds are directed to support her salary.
If no designation is made your gift will go to the General Fund. Spending of funds is confined to board approved programs and projects. Each contribution designated towards a board approved program or project will be used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most.
